This plugin is optimized for logos, text, illustrations, flat graphics, and heavily compressed artwork. It excels at cleaning up jagged edges, blocky compression artifacts, and low-resolution graphic elements. While it can process photos, results will vary and it is not designed to replace photo-focused upscalers.

You can, but it’s not the primary use case. Photo results depend heavily on the source image and may introduce stylistic changes or smoothing that aren’t ideal for realistic photography. For photos, traditional photo-focused upscalers may produce more predictable results.

Currently, transparency is not supported. Any transparent areas will be flattened to white during the upscale. After processing, you can easily remove the background again in Photoshop using your preferred selection or masking tools.

No. The upscaling is performed using cloud-based AI processing, so an internet connection is required. This allows the plugin to use far more powerful models than could realistically run locally inside Photoshop.

Your images are sent securely for processing and are not used for training or reused. They are only transmitted for the purpose of completing the upscale and returning the result to you.

The plugin works with Adobe Photoshop version 23.3 and newer. Older versions are not supported due to UXP plugin requirements by Adobe.

Yes. Standard vectorization techniques often struggle with gradients. That is an area where Rez Fixer shines and can often produce better results that current vectorization tools.

In many cases, your results may be better than what vectorization tools would give you—but that won’t be the case for all images. For extremely low-quality or damaged artwork, you may still need light retouching or vector conversion afterward. It’s best viewed as a time-saving enhancement, or even a step to take BEFORE you vectorize.

You have options of 2k or 4k output. However, those sizes are approximate and may vary depending on your starting artwork.

While I would love to make it unlimited, the AI processing/server does cost money on the backend.  You are limited to 300 images per month, which I believe is far more than most users will need.

I know we all hate subscriptions but I am not some big company and I need to offer my plug-ins as a subscription in order to be able to keep up with tech support and dealing with the constant updates Adobe makes that often break plug-ins. I try to make it affordable and often offer discounts that lock in your price for as long as you keep your subscription. I really appreciate the support

Change? Yes! Rez Fixer uses AI to try and rebuild the image. Some details may change and you should always double check the results.
Mess up? Possibly. Especially on small images or if you set a high clean level, small texts and things could get changed. Again, Rez Fixer is NOT a solution for ALL images. It is a tool that works well for certain scenarios.
